Fontpond - Font pairing playground

Try heading and body fonts in realistic product layouts, upload local files privately, and get a clear, explained pairing score.

I kept running into the same problem across my web projects: how could I tell whether two fonts worked together without designing half a site first? Around the same time, I read Cloudflare's article about Astro and its Islands Architecture. I thought - maybe I could kill two birds with one stone: build a free font-pairing tool and learn about the architecture in the process. Fontpond lets me try heading and body fonts across a landing page, article, dashboard, and pricing card, in a single or split view. I can choose a system or Google font, or upload several local WOFF, WOFF2, TTF, and OTF files. Uploaded fonts never leave the browser and disappear when the page reloads. The deterministic score breaks the pairing down into readability, hierarchy, contrast, fallback behaviour, and overall fit. It is meant to explain trade-offs, not give you one perfect answer. Pairings made with built-in fonts can also be saved in a shareable link.
